Before hosting other homes, I experienced firsthand the challenges of high-level hosting. Communicating during odd hours, handling frustrating "Resolution Requests", managing inventory, coordinating cleaners, and, as you know, so much more.
Over the last 10+ years of hosting, I’ve developed multiple systems for cleaners, guests, hosts, inventory, and service providers that reduce friction and ongoing issues, allowing me to shift my focus to the guest experience, provide homeowners with an effortless revenue experience, and, in most cases, increase their bottom line.
In 2012, I purchased a cabin in Yucca Valley and started rebuilding it from the ground up. A year later, what is now called “Serenity Escape” was complete. Experiencing the entire journey, from construction to hosting, gave me a deep, firsthand understanding of what it truly takes to create an exceptional guest experience.

Started with this Abbot Kinney (Venice, CA) listing at the very end of December 2024, where it was making just over $74K a year. My main focus was on longer stays, increasing additional booking days, and overall achieving a higher rate.
As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve nearly doubled the listing’s profit, increasing it by over 87%, all while maintaining a high Airbnb rating.
In December 2023, this Joshua Tree / Yucca Valley (CA) listing wrapped up the year at just $17.5K. With travel opening back up after COVID, combined with the increasing number of new properties and Airbnb competition in the area, local demand dipped significantly.
The next year, I turned things around and tripled their earnings to over $54K. That momentum stayed strong through 2025 as well.
